How is dict:app different from other dictionary apps?
Unlike large international translation and dictionary apps that mainly focus on covering as many languages as possible, dict:app focuses on finding the right word even when you only have an approximate idea of its spelling.
Do I need to know the correct spelling?
No. You can enter a word roughly as it sounds, and dict:app will try to find matching words and translations.
Are there example sentences?
Yes. Entries include example sentences when they are available in the database. These examples are continuously expanded.
What do the comparison pages explain?
Comparison pages are intended to explain differences between similar or easily confused words, such as das/dass, seit/seid, or words that sound alike.
